What cutting tools can Fullerton regrind?
Fullerton’s regrind services cover end mills, drills, reamers, routers, keyseat cutters, saws, burrs, countersinks, and custom tooling. Whether a specific tool can be reconditioned depends on its design, wear, damage, and remaining usable geometry.
Can you recondition tools from other manufacturers?
Yes. Fullerton reconditions its own tools and tools from other manufacturers. Share your tooling details so our team can review the available options.
Can reconditioned tools be recoated?
Yes. Fullerton offers in-house coating capabilities for reconditioned tooling. Our team can help review coating options for your tool and application.
How many times can a cutting tool be reground?
There isn’t one number that fits every tool. The number of possible regrinds depends on the tool’s design, condition, remaining dimensions, and application requirements.
How do I request a regrind quote?
Download the quote form for your tool type and provide the requested information. For other tool types or help choosing a form, contact one of our regrind service centers.
How long does tool reconditioning take?
Contact our team with your tool types, quantities, coating requirements, and requested return date. We’ll help confirm turnaround for your order.
Just a Heads Up: Tool Condition Matters.
We work to recover as much usable life as possible from every tool. However, wear, damage, and the regrind process itself can result in scrap—even when tools arrive in good condition.
Poor condition
We will not issue credit on tools that are in poor condition, even if we try to fix them.
Normal regrind process
For tools in good condition, there is still potential for scrap as part of the normal regrind process.
Under 10% scrapped
We will not issue credit for quantities scrapped that are less than 10% of the order quantity (1 piece for orders of 15 or less).
Over 10% scrapped
If we scrap more than 10% of the order, we will credit the price of a regrind for all pieces above the 10% (or the # of pieces above 1 on orders of 15 or more).
